No time for a full post, just had a few minutes and felt I should spend a moment to help defend a mostly not very good film against likely legitimate allegations of racism.
See? Lost in Translation had it right. The showers are really short. And it's a big pain in the ass.... less of a pain in the ass than the encephalitis and the poverty, but still.

You didn't like 'Lost in Translation' either? You're like the only other person I know with that opinion.
Do the showers have curtains and a tub/basin, or is it just the tap and a drain in the floor? Greece was like that, and I've heard other eastern countries are too. Also, how's the food? This is an important question for me... I like judging other cultures by their cuisine. Does that make me a food racist?
re: scott
yes it does.
re: gabe
your blog is hilarious and i can't wait to read more.
i love you friend! miss you... keep safe and don't have too much sex with the prostitutes :)
Haha, no food is a totally acceptable way to judge a country! Food tells you so much about a culture. Like think tapas, which has a whole culture set up around it - going to bars, grabbing little bits, moving on - social, casual, fun.
Khmer food is really good actually. Kind of somewhere between Thai and Chinese, with a bit of French thrown in (the French ran the place up until mid-century). Also lot of good street food.
And Leah, I haven't seen you in like forever, and it makes me sad. Come to Cambodia in the next week or 2, we'll hang.
